Campaign Battle OnG vs VC Empty
BerichtOnderwerp: Campaign Battle OnG vs VC   Campaign Battle OnG vs VC Emptyza aug 01, 2009 8:24 pm

Wurrzag overlooked the orc encampment with some worries. The Orc ladz were getting restless; the gobs becoming brave enough to taunt their bosses. They needed a good fight.

But it would not be for today, the Dark elves that had suprised them were beaten back with ferocity; and the horsemen and other creatures of chaos were also held at bay. There was no immediate move to make.

Just as he was about to enter his yurt he heard the noise of a ruckus that broke out. He turned around and watched Gitsnik boldly challenge Gorfang. Wurrzag and Gorfang were together at the batlle of Mount Gunbad, and were still together now; an uneasy alliance that proved its merits to both of them. It only took two second before poor Gitsniks head joined a pile of rocks next to the rock lobba where he had been, until very recently, in charge of. Gitsniks body fell over lifeless.

"Good. This was settled, perhaps there would be no more infighting for today." thought Wurrzag. Suddenly he saw the body of Gitsnik twitch, and slowly raise. Some of the gobs fled of this strange event, only to the encouragement of the Orcs. Gorfang hit the headless body hard with his club, but it did not seem to have much effect.. Only after crushing both legs and arms the body remained still.

A thin smile formed on Wurrzags mouth, and he spoke some magic syllables in a strange guttural speech. A small green mist enveloped Gitsniks body, and after a couple of second it began to fade black. "Necromancy. Vampiric necromancy." The smile widened as he knew there was a new enemy. The last experience he had with the undead was ennerving, killing ten of them only made sure 20 new were summoned by their vampiric masters. He needed a new, brutal and bloody approach.

'LADZ! GET YER AXES READY! TONIGHT WE MOVE!' he shouted, much to the disdain of Gorfang. Gorfangs vision narrowed when he looked at Wurrzag, it was his duty as warchief; not the shamans task to lead the troops. His apprentice next to him, Rotgut knew what that meant: make enough paint for the Orcs for magical protection, and give them enough fungus beer as not to fear those undead abominations. He started immediatly on the preparations.

Meanwhile Gorfang had come to Wurrzag, meaning to show who's boss, but at the look in Wurrzags eyes Gorfang faltered. "Mork wants to lead this battle, he will protect us from the evil magicks. You will lead the boyz and will carry Mork's effigy, so that all know who protects us. Also we need Skargob to annoy them." Gorfang nodded slowly, more or less at the same pace he was understanding the consequences of what Wurrzag told. Gorfang then grunted and turned around, looking for Skargob and his band of goblins and spider riders.

Wurrzag retreated to his tent, took some of the ritual shrooms and started dabbling in the magic warpaint. Slowly colours mingled before his drug-induced eyes, and he entered The Green.

Atop of a mountain he looked down and saw what connected the Orcs, the raw source of power, the flux between the Orckin, their past and their future. He saw slaughter, war, undead, zombies and ghouls. His vision extended to include the other types of supernatural creatures such as skeletons and Fell bats. And then he felt it; A sharp pain in the neck; a warning from Mork.

Wurrzag awakened from his voyage in The Green early in the morning. During his trip he had applied the strangest runes to his body, the like of which he had never seen before; a gift of Mork. He got up and left his yurt.

When he overlooked the encampment now, he noticed a big difference. In fact two big differences in the form of two giants. "Gork is fighty too." he heard Gorfang say. "Yes." was Wurrzags short reply. The ladz where swept into an enthousiasm when one of the giants picked up some snotlings and threw them far enough to land, quite hard, outside their camp. "Truly Gork embodied." The tone of Gorfang was full of awe. Ratgut was handing out the fungus beer to last ladz; and the restlessness mounted. They needed to leave before animosity began.

They left the camp quickly, and surprisingly orderly. In the front the two giants with a troup of spider riders; then the two big block of frenzy orc warriors with tattood and coloured skin; followed by Skargob, the goblin shaman, with his goblin troupe; and another unit of spider riders. They were marching towards their foe, or at least towards they think they would find the vampire kindred.

Suddenly; they appeared at their left side; before even the battle began, they were already outsmarted. He saw large troups of ghouls, zombies, skeletons and fell bats. Quickly he ordered a halfturn to face the enemy; and to bolster courage he immediatly started a WAAAGH. His shout came; and the entire army followed his lead, their legs carrying the as fast as possible towards the vampiric hosts. Wurrzag felt the overwhelming amount of Orcish energy present and tried to focus it on the opposing leader; but the headbut was dissipated. Rotgut also tried to cast some Orc Magick, but he was an apprentice still and failed. Now Mork smiled. The WAAAGH had begun, and he would do the best of his efforts to prolong it magickally; The effect was astonishing, picking up the pace, all units swarmed forwards; by now almost running as fast as cavalry, but al due to the Orcish power.

The undead host reacted slowly; with some horrors closing in on one of the giants. He took a big swingwith a tree he had plucked; but his club went right through them! In return; the Wraiths and banshees; seriously hurt the giant. Thinking it was a bad tree, he threw it away; and started thinking of another tactic.

The Fell bats flew forward; and from the goblin ranks some crazed figures appeared. Fanatically swinging with a big ball and chain they managed to tear large holes in the air, but nothing else. easily dodging these lunatics; they charged into the goblins; who prompty ran, and were overrun by the bats.

The rest of the undead army positioned itself to receive the charge; the corpse carts ringing their bells to collect the dead. Their vampiric masters were starting their magical chants, to add more to their ranks; and to make them move faster; but Mork did not allow this. All of the vampire magick was dispelled without hesitation.

The initiative went back to the Orcs. One troup of frenzied Orcs, led by Rotgut charged the wraiths who were in combat with the giant; while the other big troup ran towards a group of heavily armored skeletons. The orcish energy was still mounting; Wurrzags eyes shining bright yellow. He cast again different spells, most to little effect. Ratgut sounded his horn; and bolstered the morale of the troops. Wurrzags next spell would destroy them all. Again he tapped the brute Orcish power which now completely filled the air around him; and cast a Waaagh spell again. The little signs of tiredness were immediatly alleviated; and the entire army drove forward once more. Wurrzag and Gorfang led their boyz into the heavily armored Grave Guard; the giant who wasn't in combat ran towards a unit of ghouls. The spider riders seemed to be stuck in a forest for some unknown reason.

The giant that threw away the three now decided to jump up and down on the wraiths, thinking that perhaps this would work. The unit orcs also tried in vain to hurt the ethereal horrors. One apparition seemed to flicker a bit and faded from existence. Their numbers and waagh would destroy them.

The big unit of savage Orcs crashed into the graveguard like a hammer on an anvil. This was the moment Mork had warned Wurrzag for. The undead champion raised his gigantic axe and swung at wurrzags neck. Straight and true, ready to deliver a killing blow the axe approached. The runes on wurrzags skin began to shine a bright blue; protecting him from the lethal blow and destroying the wights weapon. The rest of the grave guard struck back at the Orcs, an orc now fought on with only one arm; but the sheer power of the charge and magically induced waagh held them standing. The pressing was hard on nthe undead unit and several skeletons crumbled as a result.

Amid of the furious fighting; the vampire encanthress issued a challenge. Gorfang more than eagerly accepted this, just to prove why he was the boss. Sudeny he felt sullen and slow; some dark magic of the vampire temptress slowed his movements. she struck several times at the big Orc; but his armor and fighting skills proved to be tough to pierce. In return, he embraced the frenzy and rent at the vampire, until his last blow split her from head to belly. This proved to be decisive: the charms which bound these undead to the mortal plane were dispelled with the death of the enchantress; and some of the undead carts fell apart where they stood. It spread quickly over the battlefield, and soon the entire undead army was decaying.

The rest of the undead was easily dispatched; the Orcs now outnumbering the few remaining walking dead by a large marging; and the two giants would deal with the ghouls.

Normally there would be looting; burning, pillaging; but with these undead it seemed unfair. They had massacred the undead army, but what did they win? Loot certainly not; but at least the camp would be more or less peaceful for some weeks.

Back at the camp Wurrzag and Gorfang discussed the battle to whether it was Mork or Gork which had delivered the victory. And they came to the same conclusion as when they had other big victories. Both gods must smile upon them to achieve such a disicive victory.

Gorfang smiled; and walked towards his Kaptins yurt and thought "Right now I could worship the god of food; Fork."
