We've now heard from various birds that Games Workshop is going full steam ahead - with a release schedule that just wont stop. Here's the next three months:

Late-Feb-March : 40K Flyer Wave
Look for the Eldar, Tau, Tyranid, and Dark Eldar flyers. That will get flyers into pretty much everyone's hands to equalize the flyer imbalance between the armies at last. Sorry Templars and Sisters - go grab some surplus Arvus Lighters and hope for the best...

March-April: Chaos Daemons 40K-WFB
Look for BOTH systems to get new books and a launch wave of minis to go with them. Major miniatures releases will have some new plastic Major Daemons and Daemonic Chariots. Some daemonic cavalry and others are mixed in as well.

April-May: Tau Empire
Look for an all new shiny hardback Codex to bring your favorite blue fishmen into the 21st century. Many new kits (like the uber-suit) and all new rules. Book is said to be a big overhaul for thee space-commies.

~That means we should have 4 new hardcover books for 40K one year after 6th edition launched. For Games Workshop and the design studio that is quite a performance! Ohh, my poor wallet...

Volgens mij gaat het een shared release zijn.
Nieuwe flyers + een flyer 'codex'

Reden om het artikel met een korreltje zout te nemen is hun veronderstelde release date van midden in de maand.
GW gaat nooit doen. Principe sinds enkele maanden is release white dwarf gevold door release models een week later.
Dus dit is ten vroegste voor maart als en indien dit er komt.

Ik heb er mijn zaak van gemaakt om al die rumours artikels op BoLS straal te negeren. Hun betrouwbare bronnen zitten er ondertussen al twee jaar naast met hun 'Summer of Flyers', en voor hun andere legers is het van 't zelfde laken een broek. Een favoriete rumour van BoLS is dat Tyranids opnieuw Eternal Warrior gaan krijgen. Gaat volgens mij nooit gebeuren.

Ik zie GW nog wel de imbalance op het gebied van flyers aanpakken (croissants for everybody!), maar dat zal m.i. codex per codex gaan, niet alles in één maand. Dat, of we zitten met verdomd veel White Dwarf rules updates à la Ork flyers en de Space Marines' flying potato. Een codex met alleen maar flyers erin zou hun handenvol tijd en moeite kosten om up-to-date te houden. Ze slagen er nog niet in dat werk voor enkele codexen te doen, laat staan voor alle legers.

Die extra book met enkel flyers erin is complete quatch volgens mij. Enkel een Stormtalon op de cover, en rules erin die ook in de pas uitgebrachte Cruscade of Fire staan? Als dat waar is, dan zijn ze écht goe bezig daar in Nottingham...

Ik hoop in elk geval dat ze het boek niet uitbrengen.

Ik zou veel liever een unieke flyer voor mijn leger hebben dan dat ik 'den breddel' van een andere chapter moet gebruiken
